Orange County Rehab: A Rapid Opiate Detox Center
Orange County Rehab: Exiting Alone
It’s not abnormal for an addict to lose friendships and relationships because of their addiction. Sometimes a spouse threatening to leave unless the addict gets help doesn’t wake the addict up to getting help. When the addict finally hits their rock bottom and checks into an orange county rehab their wife has left them and taken the kids with her. Going through rehab and knowing that the person you love will not be on the other side waiting to take you back with open arms can be hard on a recovering addict.
Rapid Opiate Detox: When You Have No Expectations
Rapid opiate detox also referred to as ROD or the “instant” cure detox was first created by Andrew Waismann backin 1994. Waismann created a method called the Waismann Method where patients addicted to opiates were sedated and then underwent a procedure where their brain blocked opiate receptors. This procedure usually lasted 12 to 48 hours and the patient is given other medication during this time for the withdrawal symptoms. Once they are woken up they are no longer physically dependent on opiates and have no recollection of going through withdrawal.
Alcohol Recovery: How To Stay Clean Post Rehab
Staying clean post rehab is a big part of alcohol recovery. Some rehabs fail at giving the patient the tools they need once outside of rehab to stay clean. Unfortunately, without these tools most patients relapse and end up back in rehab. While you are in rehab you are cut off from using drugs or alcohol. It may not be easy to abstain but you are surrounded by doctors and staff who are there for you to talk to about the feelings you are experiencing and they help you work through the fear, anxiety, depression. Post rehab AA meetings, sponsors and sober buddies help an addict stay sober.
