Our Approach

Intervention And The Drug Abuse Treatment Center

An intervention is one of the most loving and helpful things you can arrange for your addicted love one who is struggling with denial and believes they can quit on their own. This usually involves one or more people coming together with good intentions to help your addicted love one agree to enter into an alcohol drug detox and treatment program. A Professional intervention is a structured meeting set up between the concerned parties, the person who is suffering and a professionally trained facilitator who will guide the parties to a solution for all who are suffering with an emphasis on treatment and recovery. It is important that you include someone who is not emotionally connected and has been educated in the different styles of intervention for a higher rate of success.

Our professional interventionists will work with your family and loved ones from the first call through the end of their stay at a drug abuse treatment center. They will assess your needs and concerns then work with you on which style of intervention is appropriate for your family. There is no such thing as a cookie cutter intervention and your family deserves to have an option. In the different styles of intervention, one is done with the family keeping it a secret from the loved one and surprising him/her. This approach is generally done when we feel that there is no way that your loved one would show up to a family meeting. The other way of approaching your loved one is with an invitation to a family meeting that is going to be held whether he/she shows up or not. This approach is the beginning of change for the entire family.

One of our professional interventionist will talk to you and the other concerned loved ones to determine if an intervention is necessary. Once this is determined the interventionist will give you the direction you need to continue the process. The interventionist will come to you, no matter where you are located and guide you through this emotional time of love and support. After your loved one agrees to 12 step treatment the interventionist will escort them into the treatment center. It is important to get them to agree and enter treatment in the same day as they can change their mind and find it difficult to follow through with their decision. Should your loved one refuse treatment at this time this is not the end of the intervention, it is the beginning. Our interventionists will work with you until they enter treatment. It is important to remember that it is very common to hear the word no initially, denial is very powerful, so is the power in the room and the process of intervention. There is help for the hopeless.
