Alcohol Drug Detox: Battling Two Diseases At Once
Battling two diseases at once is not an easy thing to do. First it means the addict needs to open themselves up to having more than one addiction problem. Second it means surrendering to those addictions and admitting that you cannot overcome either on your own. Addicts are difficult creatures in that when they are abusing alcohol or drugs they are lying to the people around them, sneaking around and cheating and manipulating people to get what they want. They may admit to one problem but not both because they can’t really picture life completely sober. An alcohol drug detox program is necessary if they want to kick the disease for good.
